Donna, Yong, and Jomar at the Big Sur International Marathon 2009

Donna Cruz and her husband Dr. Yong Larrazabal III participated in the Big Sur International Marathon 2009 held in Monterey, California, USA. Donna participated in the 18-kilometer run category, finishing at 1:41:00. His brother Jomar Cruz, participating in his first marathon race, finished at 2:40:00.

Donna says "I would really love to run the full Big Sur International Marathon if they could turn the heat up, shut the wind down, and flatten the entire course".
The 2009 Big Sur International Marathon is a 26.2-mile race with around 4,300 participants, and is touted as the "best marathon in North America", the race having taken place in supposedly the most beautiful coastline of the world.
